Greetings and welcome to the official website of Rising Sun Lodge No. 2, Prince Hall, proudly serving the historic city of Norfolk, Virginia since 1845.

It is both an honor and a privilege to welcome you on behalf of the Officers and Brothers of this great Lodge. Whether you are a visiting Brother, a member of our community, or a man seeking light and greater purpose, we thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are and what we stand for.

Rising Sun Lodge No. 2 is more than just a Lodge — it is a brotherhood built upon faith, integrity, service, leadership, and tradition. As the oldest Prince Hall Lodge in the Commonwealth of Virginia, we carry a legacy forged by courageous men who believed in unity, education, self-improvement, and the advancement of our communities during some of the most difficult periods in American history.

From our humble beginnings in 1845 to the present day, Rising Sun Lodge No. 2 has remained a beacon of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. The men who came before us laid a strong foundation of excellence, and it is our responsibility to honor that legacy through our actions, our character, and our commitment to serving others.

Our motto, “Where Strangers Become Brothers, and Brothers Become Family” reflects the spirit of our Lodge and the bond we share. Within these walls, men from different backgrounds come together united by the timeless principles of Prince Hall Freemasonry. We believe true brotherhood is built through respect, accountability, mentorship, fellowship, and service to mankind.

As Worshipful Master, my vision is to continue strengthening the foundation of Rising Sun Lodge No. 2 while inspiring a new generation of men to lead with honor, humility, and purpose. We are committed to preserving our rich traditions while continuing to grow, serve, and make a positive impact throughout Norfolk and the surrounding communities.
